Do Cleaners Bring Their Own Supplies?

The short answer: mostly yes, cleaners do bring their own supplies, but there’s one thing we ask you to keep at home, and the reason is worth knowing.

What we bring

For every recurring home clean, your cleaner arrives with all their own supplies: all-purpose cleaners, bathroom and kitchen solutions, microfiber cloths, scrub brushes, a mop. You don’t need to stock a single spray bottle.

If you have a preferred product, fragrance-free, a specific floor cleaner, something you’ve been using for years, just let us know. We’re happy to use what you’ve got.

The one thing we ask you to keep: your vacuum

For recurring home cleans, we ask clients to provide their own vacuum. There’s a real reason for it.

Vacuums are one of the main ways that bed bugs and cockroaches travel between homes. Bed bugs can survive being vacuumed up and hide in the hose, brush attachments, and bag, and then escape into the next home the vacuum visits. Cornell University’s Integrated Pest Management program confirms that bed bugs caught in a vacuum canister can escape and spread to new locations. Cockroach eggs can survive inside a vacuum bag and hatch later.

A shared vacuum traveling between homes is a real cross-contamination risk, even if everything else about the clean is spotless. Your vacuum stays in your home, touches only your floors, and nothing can hitch a ride from a previous address.

Most clients already own one. Just leave it out before you head out for the day and your cleaner will take it from there.

What about move-in/move-out and vacant homes?

For move-in/move-out cleans and vacant commercial spaces, we bring everything, including a vacuum. If you’re booking a clean for an empty home or a commercial space, you don’t need to provide a thing.

Can I request my own cleaning products be used?

Yes. If you have products you prefer, fragrance-free, a specific surface cleaner, something that works well with your floors, just let us know when you book. We’ll use what you have.
